FAQs

  • Where are you located?

I am based in Lincoln, NE but am able to serve many nearby towns!

  • Do you Deliver or is it Pickup only?

I offer both Pickup and Delivery! Depending on the distance of the delivery, there may be an additional charge added to your order to compensate for gas usage. If you would like to pick up, I will coordinate a time that works best for both you and I!

  • What are your credentials?

I have a Culinary Arts Degree with a focus on Baking and Pastry and Culinary Arts. With this degree, I obtained a Servesafe certification and am a Certified Pastry Chef. I have worked in the culinary industry for 5 years and have been baking for 3 of those years! I worked alongside many amazing chefs throughout those years. Including one of the best chocolatiers in the state and the amazing chefs at Casa Bovina!

  • How far ahead do I need to order?

I require a two week minimum notice on orders. This gives me a chance to plan out my weeks ahead of time and order supplies in time for your cake to become beautiful! With that being said, if you have a last minute order, please still fill out an order form. I do occasionally have slow weeks, so if I have time to fit you into my schedule I will!

  • What are your favorite flavors for cake and cookies?

My personal favorite flavor for cake is Vanilla with Strawberries or Carrot cake! (check out my flavor options in the Products section) For cookies I am so torn because I love cookies. But if I have to chose two I would have to say either Kitchen Sink (Pretzels, chocolate chips, and potato chips) or Oreo cookies!

  • How long will my cake be good in my fridge?

Cakes can last as long as a week in your fridge! Of course the longer you let the cake sit, the less fresh it will be, but that is your choice. Cakes can last up to a month in the freezer!

  • How do I best take care of my cake?

I would suggest leaving your cake in the fridge until about 30 minutes- 1 hour before you are going to serve it. If you are in a warm enviroment such as an outdoor park in the summer, I would cut the time frame in half!

  • Why are custom cakes so expensive?

Thankfully I have not gotten this question very often but it does happen. With custom cakes you are not just paying for the cake layers and frosting. You are paying for the chef’s creativity and expertise, the added time it takes to create a completely different cake every time, and for the many custom elements that I purchase in order for your cake to come out perfect!
